And an amazing story about how a perspective young boxer (sub-master sportsman) Andrew Lipko became the painter begins.

It's remarkable that first time Andrew Lipko decided to paint when he served in the Soviet Army. Every young man who served in army certainly discovered many super-abilities in himself. It turns out that it is possible to eat your dinner during 1 minute, to run 40 kilometers in full kit with a sub-machine gun and kit-bag, and to sleep with your eyes open being on guard (memories of Andrew Lipko). May be all this awoke Andrew's natural talent for painting. It's amazing but the fact remains the fact. He came back from the army with the longing desire to paint. He wanted only painting and only on a canvas. The career of professional sportsman was finished forever. Andrew fearlessly took a brush and painted a landscape the first one in his life. His mother and farther shed tears out of affection but S.Cherkasov, the teacher from the Saint-Petersburg Academy of Art, whom Andrew showed his first paintings was terrified.

The newly-minted genius understood that he should study hard… and everyday diligent labor began. Andrew was taking the course in the Saint-Petersburg Academy of Art under the direction of S.Cherkasov and was painting constantly.

After many trials and mistakes Andrew decided for himself that he would be landscape painter and not ordinary but one of the best. He had a lot of persistence and ambition and he was working constantly. He painted many sketches in different places of Russia, he was even near the Baikal lake absorbing vivid colors of nature.

As a result there was the first personal exhibition at the homeland of the painter, in Voronezh. It was the first public recognition, the first admirers…

Virtuosos and amateurs not only from Russia but from abroad start buying paintings. Germany, Spain, France, Japan, Finland, the USA, Sweden - here there is not a full list of countries where Andrew's paintings were kept during the first years of his professional activity. He was lucky enough to visit Europe at that time and certainly he got many impressions. Andrew started painting with the great feeling and as a result waves of the Atlantic Ocean, illustrious Spanish castle Santa Cruz, the intimate small streets of Italy, eternal mountains - the Alps all this appeared on the canvas in its unique beauty. Looking at the paintings of Andrew Lipko you can't stop wondering the harmony of paints which reaches each part of your soul.

Many important creative events happened in Andrew's life since 2000. He was participating in the tenth international salon in Moscow where he received positive reports of critics and appreciation of audience. As a result he was invited to exhibit his works in the Museum of F. Shalyapin permanently. The State Tretyakov Gallery became interested in Andrew's works.
